New Feature for Testing : Translation!

Howdy! Alex from Brave here,

Our dev team landed Translations in the Nightly build. We are looking for some feedback about the quality and UX flow.

If you right click on a page and select “Translate to X” it should translate the page to the language of your locale (English in my case). Would you expect any other ways of translation? Notice any bugs? Let us know.

You can download the Nightly build here : https://brave.com/download-nightly

Thanks!

Please tell me this uses deepl.com translator not the google’s one and if it doesn’t let users choose in the future which translator they wanna use if it’s possible, otherwise it’s one neat feature, already tried it and worked seamlessly. Thanks!

It seems a Microsoft service (probably Bing) is used as Brave wants me to confirm that I want to send the text on the page to Microsoft; somehow I only have to confirm if I press the translate icon in the URL bar and not if I select the “translate to X” menu item.

PS: I support adding deepl.com as an alternative ^^

is simple amazing!!!
you are real wizards brave team!!!
