Question:
I’ve used Brave Dev and Brave Beta (both on Windows 10) since the start, and recently I’ve switched to the Brave. At this time, I’ve discussed with some contributors on GitHub about the possibility of import all browser data from Brave Beta to Brave and Brian Clifton (@clifton) suggested a great solution (https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/1357#issuecomment-425773217).
I moved C:/Users/%USER%/AppData/Local/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser-Beta/User Data/ to C:/Users/%USER%/AppData/Local/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/User Data/ and done, all data have been moved sucessfully. Now I have another obstacle and I’m here to ask for help. I’m moving from Windows 10 to Ubuntu 18.04 and I want to move all my browser data from Brave Win10 to Brave Ubuntu and I want to know: can I move C:/Users/%USER%/AppData/Local/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/User Data/ to /.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/User Data/ or it’ll not works because they are files generated particularly for each OS? Thank you!
