macOS: Brave Crashing In Seconds - Can't Stay Open

Description of the issue:
This morning Brave started crashing immediately. May have to do with an extension but not sure. Have updated mac security, done malware scan, restarted, updated Brave to newest version, still having issue. Have been using Brave since almost day 1 without issue! Have a decent amount of BAT in there so need this resolved, thanks.

Ugh over 24 hours without my Brave Browser and I’m going nuts!!! Please someone help.

I am having the same issue. I’ve temporarily reverted back to switching between safari and Firefox in the meantime; I’m having a very similar crash dump as you:

I’m getting a similar problem, though I don’t have the big section of code like you do. Brave has been giving me the spinning wheel of death on my mac multiple times today, and locks up my computer so I have to restart.

What’s the deal?

Okay so I’ve been able to successfully run Brave now for a while by disabling hardware acceleration in the settings. I kept the sync chain enabled with no crashes. Try this and see if it works for you; I am on a 2019 Macbook Pro on MacOS Catalina 10.14.6 if that helps at all!
