Lost All Extensions after Restart

Hello,

I’m on Windows 7 Home Edition. Yesterday my computer froze and had to do a force restart. After firing up Brave against I lost my extensions! Fortunately, my bookmarks are still intact. Is there anything I can do to recover this data? This is the image I saw on startup.

Welcome to community! Sorry about your trouble here. This is a strange one and we’ll need more info to dig deeper.

  • Can you go to chrome://crashes and provide a Crash ID?

  • Try checking the extension folder in your profile data to see if they are in fact gone -AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default\Extensions

Keep us posted and we’ll see what we can find!

Hi Steeven,

Fortunately, I had a Macrium backup I could restore, so that’s what I did, and everything’s fine now.

I plan on formatting my computer in a couple of weeks, though. Is there a way to backup all the data Brave stores and restore it post installation?
