Briefly describe your issue:
Last night I updated my MacBook Air and lost all my Brave Rewards.
My connected Ledger wallet extension and data was also deleted.
Frequently visited tabs (favourites) for webpages and all my history was also gone.
It was as if it was a brand new Brave.
The only thing that was not wiped were my saved bookmarks. Thankfully!

MacOS Catalina version 10.15.7

Is your browser wallet currently verified? (yes/no)
My wallet was not verified because I took the advise from Brave which stated: “The funds in your Brave wallet are virtual and not required to backup”.
My own fault.

I’ve never had a problem before and have received regular payments.
I also auto-contributed regularly.
