Linux. Right click not showing menu on some web sites/tabs

Description of the issue:
On many tabs right clicking on highlighted text results in NO menu popup

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open several tabs to various web sites (like https://www.theregister.com/ )
  2. highlight some text
  3. press right click

Expected result:
Pop up menu offering copy etc
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.10.93 Chromium: 83.0.4103.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
Fresh install on Linux Mint 20 and LMDE 4 both suffer from same issue. Imported data from working Chromium install.
It seems if it thinks it is a link it will show the pop up, or if it is a text box (like this) the same, but if it is random text on a web page then no pop up menu.

Same problem/error on this page, if I highlight some text from the About, “Guidelines” then no menu to copy the text.
This works on all other browsers!
