Hi, I’ve been using Leo AI for a long time without any issues; however, this morning it started performing strangely on my Windows desktop.
The “Llama 3.1 8B by Meta” model is no longer providing the descriptive summaries it used to generate. Instead, it only provides a few sentences without the comprehensive bullet-by-bullet summary of the entire page that I was accustomed to.
Previously, when launching Leo on a page, I could press “Tab” a few times to select the “Summarize this page” option. However, this functionality has disappeared. Now when I press “Tab,” it simply jumps to the page itself and other links. While this is a minor issue, being able to navigate without using a mouse was very convenient.
It appears that the other LLM models in Leo are also not as descriptive and helpful as they once were. I’ve tested both Haiku and Mixtral with similar results. Interestingly, Leo continues to work well on iOS, maintaining its previous functionality.
Yesterday, I updated to Version 1.74.48 Chromium: 132.0.6834.83 (Official Build) (64-bit), and these issues began afterward.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I really enjoy using the browser and all its tools.
I’ve attached two images showing results from the same “Summarize this page” prompt - one from the desktop version and one from iOS. The desktop version now produces a generic high level summary in paragraph form, while the iOS version maintains the detailed bullet-point format. Until yesterday, both versions produced the same detailed, bullet-point summary.
I’ve also noticed similar changes in other LLMs (Haiku and Mixtral), where their desktop versions have lost their detailed formatting. Additionally, the keyboard shortcut functionality for using Leo without a mouse, which I mentioned in my previous message, is no longer working.
