Issues with long YouTube clips freezing in the middle of playing

Description of the issue:

When watching long YouTube clips (typically YouTube videos that is longer than an hour but also happens on videos shorter than that), consistently the audio and video would freeze in the middle while the YouTube clip continues playing, and you can see the time counter advancing even though the video freezes and and audio sound is silent. This happens randomly and there is no telling how soon it will happen during the video playing, but it happens quite often especially for long YouTube clips. The only way to fix it is to refresh the YouTube page and slide the time to where it last left off. Pausing and re-playing the clip doesn’t help. Sliding the time bar to another timeline doesn’t help either, it does go to the desired time but still no video or audio. Sometimes it will happen with shorter youtube clips also but I typically experience it with longer videos. It’s just pretty random but pretty frequent.
This happens on my iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro 2018 and iPad Air. iPhone 12 on iOS 16 currently but issue was also present throughout iOS 15. IPad Pro is on iOS 15.6.1. IPad Air is on iOS 12.5.6.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Play a long youtube video (try one that’s more than 2 hours to have better chance to catch this. The one i often listen to is 5-6 hours long and it happens more frequently on that one). It happens while it’s playing but there’s no way to predict when it will occur.

Expected result:

the video should not freeze and audio disappear while the video is still playing.
