So I have accumulated a bit of Brave rewards on my Uphold account. I would like to send some of this to my Coinbase account but now I see that my funds in Uphold are listed as “Brave Browser”. There is also a regular “Basic Attention Token” available to trade to. Coinbase only has the option to receive the latter. Is it safe to send the “Brave Browser” tokens to Coinbase directly or do I need to convert them to regular BAT first? So confused, any advice is appreciated.
Can you share a screenshot of those “Brave Browser” tokens? Cause I’m not sure if it’s a token or rather a name for the funds you have accumulated.
Hi realjinx, thanks for the reply. The funds I get from Brave rewards to Uphold are simply called “Brave Rewards”. But it is possible to exchange them to regular BAT in uphold, here’s what that looks like in the app.
Coinbase only accepts regular BAT. I just wonder if they are the same and if it’s safe to send without first converting?
I’m not very familiar with uphold but anyways, does it charge any fees for conversion? If not then I think you should proceed with it else I’m tagging @Saoiray & @SmartyAadi either can help you with your concern.
Thanks for tagging me in @realjinx .
@McGregor the BAT you’re seeing Uphold as Brave browser is the same bat. Its only in a card named brave browser so as to be able to easily differentiate between bat from Brave and bat you actually buy on Uphold and other sources.
TBH, I would suggest that you turn bat into some other crypto currency than to transfer bat on ethereum as there will be high gas fees. I usually used to convert them into XRP ripple and transfer them
Ah ok thanks for letting me know. I think I will go with XRP then. Many thanks to both of you
