iPadOS browser - Wallet error message on Yahoo mail

At mail.yahoo.com, when I try to download an email image attachment to my iPad - by clicking on the download link next to the thumbnail image, I get the error: “Failed to Add Pass - An error occurred while adding the pass to Wallet. Please try again later.” And download fails.

I’m not a user of the Brave Wallet feature.
I haven’t created a wallet.

Additionally, with this Brave release, the blocking of the Yahoo mail advertisement in the first row of the email inbox has stopped working.

Very strange – just asked the iOS team why you would be shown this particular error message. Can you confirm that you’re able to download other images/files onto your iPad in Brave without receiving that error?

Just tested on our end and it looks like we can reproduce this. Will file an issue to get this resolved.

### Description If a page opens a new tab with a URL that would trigger a downl…oad instead of render a page, that download is cancelled and fails (with incorrect copy) because the tab is not visible yet ### Steps to reproduce With access to Yahoo Mail: 1. Send yourself an email with an image attachment 2. Login to mail.yahoo.com and select the email 3. Just in case this is helpful:

Neither of the 2 issues above are seen with Brave 1.66.123 which I have running on an old iPhone 11, iOS 15.7.1 ( yeah yeah, I know… lol )

Tested with current DDG 7.169.0.4 browser, 2nd issue above - ad in 1st Inbox row - is present.
