At mail.yahoo.com, when I try to download an email image attachment to my iPad - by clicking on the download link next to the thumbnail image, I get the error: “Failed to Add Pass - An error occurred while adding the pass to Wallet. Please try again later.” And download fails.
I’m not a user of the Brave Wallet feature.
I haven’t created a wallet.

Additionally, with this Brave release, the blocking of the Yahoo mail advertisement in the first row of the email inbox has stopped working.
Very strange – just asked the iOS team why you would be shown this particular error message. Can you confirm that you’re able to download other images/files onto your iPad in Brave without receiving that error?
Just tested on our end and it looks like we can reproduce this. Will file an issue to get this resolved.
I tested for this on a different iPad with Brave 1.77.99 and Yahoo Mail works normally/properly. (as it has for a few years) the ad seen in image above is blocked. Also, auto-fill / prompt email recipients works - this is broken with current release.
I still have this issue with the wallet error but on another website. It is a website I use for my university but still it is an attached file to the message.
