I can confirm this and we’re currently working on a solution. I’ll update this thread once we get more information.
We’ve identified that the latest release that installs cleanly on CentOS/RHEL 7 is v0.62.51
.

You will need to enable user namespaces:
echo 10000 > /proc/sys/user/max_user_namespaces

I also successfully installed the older Brave version on CentOS 7.6.1810. Per message 51795, I sure hope you consider using AppImage on Linux tin the future o keep this from happening on some other platform.
