Description of the issue:
not enough detail on installation - there is a txt file that appears to be something that you would run in a terminal - when doing that multiple error messages appear that suggest that is not what this txt file is for. I would like to know what to do with it - ref installing into a debian distro so was trying out the txt file for Ubuntu and Mint 18 - I am using MX18.1
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Copy and paste txt file into terminal
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
failure to load or install anything
Expected result:
Expected to have the txt file run some kind of installer
Reproduces how often:
every time
Brave Version(about:brave):
was trying both the release and beta - same result
Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
yes
Additional Information:
Synaptic failed to run after the first attempt as the txt file I used in terminal seemed to install new repos that do not exist or are in the wrong format. I needed to delete the repos to enable Synaptic to get past the error crash condition.
synaptic error and copy of each repo that needed to be removed as root user
