Importing Safari Settings

What is the best way to import all Safari settings (browsing history, passwords, etc.) into the Brave Browser? At the moment I’m only able to import bookmarks.

**The first thing I did was go to “Import Bookmarks and Settings” and went under the Safari option and all I saw were bookmarks. Next I quit both my Safari and Brave Browsers and started them up again. Still no other Safari options. Various searches on Youtube didn’t seem to yield a good answer either. **

I want to be able to transfer all of my Safari settings to the Brave Browser because not having to deal with all my passwords, history etc transferring will make me want to use the browser a lot more.

Hello jbrad24,

If you would like to import your passwords, you need to go to Passwords, then look to the right of Saved Passwords, where you’ll see a three-dot menu with two options, Import and Export Passwords.

How would I import this other information? For me it doesn’t even show up.

Unfortunately, those settings only apply to older versions of Brave, as denoted by Brave (old). Whatever is available for the Safari settings is what can be sent. Sending over your browsing history is also not possible.

To be clear, were you able to send your passwords over?

Oh okay thanks for letting me know and I wasn’t able to find the three dots that you mentioned.

You should be able to find it by going to brave://settings/passwords, and then to the right of Saved Passwords, you should see the three dot menu, pictured here (in place of where you would see Import:
