I'm new to brave but I keep getting brave://welcome/ whenever I open it

I just switched to brave yesterday and made Brave my default, imported everything and am generally satisfied with everything. I closed the browser and when I opened it again I still keep getting the

I checked the settings and there’s nothing wrong, but the welcome to Brave tab keeps popping up whenever I open it. Please help me, it’s really driving me insane.
