@beta,
Thank you for reaching out.
To confirm, the welcome screen does show but it isn’t an actual fresh install, right? Your browsing data is still there after you skip the welcome screen right?
That’s correct - my browsing data is still there so it’s just a nuisance welcome screen that keeps coming up even though I’ve already imported my data.
@beta I know this seems obvious but can you please confirm that, instead of using the Skip button, that you open a new tab, close the welcome screen tab, then close and re-open the browser? I want to ensure the browser just isn’t picking up where it left off, with the welcome tour screen open in a tab.
Not sure what happened but it seems to have resolved itself (wish it were more helpful). I tried changing the startup settings to pick up where I left off option to fix. Then switched back to open new tab and now it is functional. Thanks for responding.
I wish my new install would resolve itself on my Linux Mint laptop. I can’t get my preferred page (Bonjourr screensaver) to be the starting page. I keep getting the welcome page which asks to make Brave the default. It already is.
