I don’t even work for brave

Lol This was edited by steeven

Can you share why it is a scam or rugpull?? Do share some links/facts to back up your claim.

@steeven @Mattches (also tagged brave team, if you are right then brave should look into it.)

Weird baseless accusation…

You could just look at my profile. I have been a member of this forum for a few months. With hundreds of replies, many likes (hearts) and solution tags. I did not even know that a thing like colour.museum existed.

Or do you think, brave team should take an anonymous user words (first to lines from your main post) and just suspend an ad campaign.

That’s a moot point, because they are not liable.

I think the Earth should be shaped like a Klein bottle.

Save yourself the money, Brave isn’t liable.

9. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you will indemnify, defend and hold harmless Company and our respective past, present and future employees, officers, directors, contractors, consultants, equity holders, suppliers, vendors, service providers, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns (the “Company Parties” ) from and against all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) that arise from or relate to:

  • (a) your access or use of the Services,
  • (b) your ads
  • (c) your responsibilities or obligations under these Terms,
  • (d) your violation of these Terms, or
  • (e) your violation of any rights of any other person or entity.

We reserve the right to exercise sole control over the defense, at your expense, of any claim subject to indemnification under this Section 9. This indemnity is in addition to, and not in lieu of, any other indemnities set forth in a written agreement between you and Company.

In addition to what I responded with in the post/comment above, there’s the User agreement in the Terms of Use:

  • (a) your access or use of the Services, including any contributions you make as part of the Services,
  • (b) your responsibilities or obligations under these Terms,
  • (c) your violation of these Terms, or
  • (d) your violation of any rights of any other person or entity.

The list goes on, but the most particular one is:

15. Release

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you release Company and the other Company Parties from responsibility, liability, claims, demands and/or damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown (including, but not limited to, claims of negligence), arising out of or related to disputes between you and other Brave Rewards Users, Brave Verified Publishers, Brave Advertisers, Uphold or the acts or omissions of third parties. You expressly waive any rights you may have under California Civil Code § 1542 as well as any other statute or common law principles that would otherwise limit the coverage of this release to include only those claims which you may know or suspect to exist in your favor at the time of agreeing to this release.

In addition to the terms Saoiray posted, there is legal precedent to consider. If Google is not held liable for serving ads clicking which gives you ransomware, why would Brave be liable for merely allowing you to earn BAT by viewing ads promoting an NFT scam? If you want to treat your attorney, why not take them to dinner or something, instead of wasting your money pursuing a frivolous lawsuit.
