@screen_capture,

  1. Press F12, this will open Dev Tools
  2. Press Ctrl+Shift+P
  3. At the prompt, type ‘shot’ and you should get several choices for screen capture options

Since you are on Windows, you may have the Win+Shift+S key combination available as well, which is outside of Brave but may also do what you want and will work in any app.
