I can’t remember my brave password. It asks for another password maybe for google and I don’t have that password either
Hello - What site are you attempting to login to? Brave does not offer password logins for Brave Accounts.
@drkate as Evan123 mentioned, Brave doesn’t have any passwords for its account, so it’s confusing when you speak of a Brave account password. If you are speaking of the prompt for a password when you open your password manager, that is your OS password. If you mean your Brave Wallet password, then that’s one you created and nobody could help you with.
Also, it’s important you always provide as much information as possible. When you are extremely vague as you were, it’s difficult or even impossible to provide any assistance.
@drkate that is asking for your OS password, the one you use to login to your device when you start it up. The reason why it’s asking that is Brave uses what’s called OSCrypt, which encrypts our saved passwords and other information so that they are kept safe.
The key to unlock the encryption and allow them to be visible is tied in with your OS keychain, which is your login credentials. So once you put it in, then you can see them. It’s basically the way of trying to make sure some random stranger who got access to your device can’t just open it up and copy down all of your passwords.
