you get the $5 reward after 30 days of the refereed person uses the brave app.
PS it isnt $5 in the real sense it is $5 in what every value the the BAT coin' is at the moment the 30 days validation is complete.
payouts are always on the 8th,9th or 10th of each pending on some unforeseen delays.
if the value of BAT goes up on the day of the pay out the $5 can even be larger.
