OK, so here’s the deal: I have a Reddit problem. But I need to keep an eye on just a couple subreddits for professional reasons.
I made a free-standing Brave app for one of them (Install App feature in the address bar), but now when I go to the other one and try to do the same, the Install App feature is no longer there in the address bar. Now there’s an “open with” icon instead.
Apparently because I created ONE free-standing Brave app, I cannot create another for the same top-level domain.
How can I get around this? How can I create TWO free-standing Brave “apps,” one for reddit.com/r/subreddit-A and one for reddit.com/r/subreddit-B ?
EDIT: In fact, even after DELETING the free-standing app I created, and restarting Brave, it’s not possible to create another one. I still see the “open with” icon instead of the “install app” icon, even though there’s no free-standing app to “open with” anymore.
EDIT 2: In fact, now that I’ve tried opening and editing that free-standing app, apparently free-standing Brave apps only remember to top-level domain, and can’t be set to go to specific URLs?? Am I doing something wrong?
