for some reason, Brave no longer loads my home page. I have tried
http://bing.com, http://google.com, and http://startpage.com. NONE of these load, but each one will open if I type in the address after the browser is open. also works if I open the browser and hit “home” button. suggestions before I move to a browser that works the way I want it to?

I searched for this bug report before reporting. Can I be the only one?

Version 1.29.76 Chromium: 93.0.4577.58 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I tested Brave’s behavior on my end - works as expected when configured properly.

  1. brave://settings/getStarted → Open the New Tab page.
  2. brave://settings/newTab → Homepage.

I assumed you have properly configured brave://settings/appearance as hitting the home button takes you to the desired page.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I just checked and Brave is configured properly, even though it won’t set to default browser (different issue). Every home page I try times out and does not load at all on starting the browser. But each one works fine when I click “home” button and “new tab.”
