Hide extensions (on MacBook) in the Brave browser - make deselecting difficult / impossible

Description of the question for help:
Hide extensions (on MacBook) in the Brave browser - make deselecting difficult / impossible

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
just open the Brave browser and have a look at the extension icon (looks like a puzzle piece) in the top right next to the URL field

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
The puzzle icon as well as the “puzzle - Extensions” setting is visable and selectable:
puzzle-icon

Expected result:

  • I would like to be able to hide the extension icon (looks like a puzzle piece) in the top right next to the URL field in the Brave browser.
  • I would like to be able to hide the entry “Puzzle piece - Extensions” in the browser’s drop-down menu.
  • Overall, I would like to disable the possibility that I - or another user of my MacBook - can turn off or even remove installed extensions. (Background: all extensions I install have a purpose and MUST always remain activated.)

Reproduces how often:
“always”

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
MacBook Air, Apple M2, macOS Sequoia 15.3
Brave Version 1.75.175 Chromium: 133.0.6943.54 (Offizieller Build) (arm64)

Additional Information:
Who can help me with this?

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance and best regards,
Burkhard

@Burkhard this option is not available at this time. That said, we do have an open issue to improve/fine tune the extension drop down (“puzzle piece”) generally here:

I’ve gone ahead and reached out to the devs in the thread asking if including an option to hide the icon from the toolbar is within the scope of the project.

Hi Mattches,

Yes, that would be great if my topic can be covered by the project you just mentioned.

Thanks for your information.

Best regards,
Burkhard
