Hate the new Chromium Brave browser

After having used brave happily for a few months, I see that the new Chromium Brave browser is just like the enemy, Google, that I have been trying to avoid. Not only is the new browser aesthetically repulsive, I find it hard to believe that Brave is not now just another Google front. Other good browser alternatives?
