Description of the issue:
When using Gettr.com commenting tool on the Brave Browser with Windows 10, the screen turns gray and the dialog box where the user adds a comment does not display.

I am using default settings and the website functions correctly when accessing via Chrome browser.

Looks like this issue occurs when Shields are enabled. As a temporary workaround you can disable Shields and be able to use the comment box normally.

On Gettr.com, the comment box does not appear when clicked if Brave's Shields are enabled. Site will simply turn "darker" but the actual element does not appear on screen:

What is the easiest way to toggle shields on/off?

You can disable Shields by clicking the lion icon in the address bar, then turning the main toggle “off”:
Note that turning Shields off this way only applies to the site you’re currently on. More on Shields functionality here:
