Description of the issue:
I have been unable to configure the links on the new tab page. I’ve heard this is possible by saving sites I want to the Favorites folder, but sites are saved to Mobile Bookmarks by default, and there does not seem to be a way to create a new top-level folder called Favorites. I was able to move the bookmark from Mobile Bookmarks to another folder called Bookmarks, but this did not get it to appear on the new tab page. Additionally, searching for other users that had this problem yielded advice saying I should click a star icon in the web address bar to add to Favorites, but there does not seem to be one. My ultimate goal is simply to configure the new tab page, but it seems there are also some issues with bookmarking and the two may be related.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Try to add sites to new tab page
- Try to add sites to Favorites folder
- Try to get sites from Bookmarks folder to appear on new tab page
Expected result:
I expected the bookmarks manager to let me make a new top-level folder called Favorites but the new folder button is greyed out.
