Favicons on desktop and folders not displayed

Dear community,

I used Firefox for many years in my life. Since a few weeks, I changed to Brave (version 1.78.102 Chromium: 136.0.7103.113 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit)).

I not only use the bookmark list within the browser to archive webpages but I very often bookmark webpages on my desktop (Windows 11) and in many folders.

When I do so in Firefox, the webpage’s favicon will be displayed as icon for the link on my desktop and in my folders. This is very, very useful for me for having a better overview (I’m a very visuell person).

Unfortunately, if I drag and drop webpage links to desktop and into folders via the Brave browser, always and only the brave’s own logo (orange lion face) is displayed at the links on my desktop and in my folders. This is double annoying, because I can’t differentiate my bookmarked webpages with a glance and the bright orange lions shape sticks out visually in a too garish way.

Is there a way to change Brave’s settings, so that my links are displayed with the webpage’s individual favicon instead of the standard Brave logo?

I would be very thankful for every hint and advice!

Is there really no one who has a little advise for me, please? :frowning:
For my work routine, this issue indeed is very important.
I hope, somebody can help me.
