Hi,
In my Brave browser → Menu → Settings → Shields → Content filters → Filter Lists → Custom Filters, I entered these elements to block Facebook reels and sponsored posts.
! Post with single Reel (language independent)
facebook.com##:is([aria-posinset],[aria-describedby]:not([aria-posinset])) video ~ div[data-instancekey]:upward([aria-posinset],[aria-describedby]:not([aria-posinset]))
www.facebook.com##:is([aria-posinset],[aria-describedby]:not([aria-posinset])) video ~ div[data-instancekey]:upward([aria-posinset],[aria-describedby]:not([aria-posinset]))
! Reels and short videos
facebook.com##:is([aria-posinset],[aria-describedby]:not([aria-posinset])) [href="/reel/?s=ifu_see_more"]:upward([aria-posinset],[aria-describedby]:not([aria-posinset]))
www.facebook.com##:is([aria-posinset],[aria-describedby]:not([aria-posinset])) [href="/reel/?s=ifu_see_more"]:upward([aria-posinset],[aria-describedby]:not([aria-posinset]))
! Hide side pannel sponsored posts
facebook.com##div[role="complementary"]
www.facebook.com##div[role="complementary"]
It works like a charm on my Brave desktop browser. Reels and sponsored posts are finally gone on my facebook page, yay!
I copied the same custom filters on my Brave Android app (version 1.68.137, Chromium 127.0.6533.100).
Expected result: when I visit the facebook website on my Brave mobile browser, I would like the reels and sponsored posts to be hidden.
Unfortunately, they still appear.
What am I missing?
Thank you so much!
