Event Viewer shows a slew of Event 256 warnings from Brave

Windows 11 Pro 21H2, OS build 22000.258
Brave version V1.30.89, Chromium 94.0.4606.81

I’m seeing oodles of this kind of thing:

[7024:3920:1017/185507.562:WARNING:chrome_content_verifier_delegate.cc(212)] Corruption detected in extension mjkjompjknhcipamakpfliebpggggpga installed at: C:\Users\antho\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Greaselion\Temp\scoped_dir7024_1056525949, from webstore: 0, corruption reason: 1, should be repaired: 1, extension location: kComponent

These events are easy to reproduce. Merely running Brave is enough to cause them. On my PC this happened after clean installing Windows 11. Brave did not produce these events in Windows 10, or at least in any quantity that was noticeable.

I’m just wondering if the devs are already aware of this issue?

I’m getting the exact same thing, it just started. I’m using Windows 10.

Brave turns into freeware - Demo- forced advertisements plus bugs. What is happening here :frowning:

So I guess the answer to my question is a big YES.

I checked the Event log on another PC which has Windows 10 Pro. These warnings go back to August 1st! Not a good sign.

I responded to this on the original “poop up” thread.
