Enable dns-over-https

I followed the advice frmo previous posts here to enable dns-over-https at brave://flags/#dns-over-https and then checked if it’s working here https://1.1.1.1/help , but it appears to not work.

How can I use this option similarly to how it works in Firefox?

Thanks

AFAIK, chrome got rid of the flag and fails the help url also, which makes me think the flag is already gone in chromium… meaning gone from brave soon (?)

Edit: So I use opendns, and going here says it works https://umbrella.cisco.com/doh-help (doh.opendns.com). But your guess is as good as mine… I really have no clue clue left or right how this is supposed to work…

After changing my dns servers to cloud flare, it works with 1.1.1.1/help…

What makes us trust cloud flare?
