DNS leak (OSX) - browser settings result in DNS leaks even connected to a VPN

I’m using Version 1.39.120 Chromium: 102.0.5005.99 (Official Build) (arm64)
](https://brave.com/latest/) on OSX (why is there no tag for OSX?!)

There are 2 settings that I have changed that result in the DNS leak being resolved.

  1. Allow Privacy Preserving Policy Product Analytics (P3A) turned off
  2. Automatically send daily usage ping to Brave (which I’m less sure that is the cause)

I use NordVPN and it was connected to certain servers in Ireland. Without these turned off I was getting leaks into an unknown server (not one used by Nord).

Testing using Safari did not result in any leaks.

I am unimpressed by this as you sell yourselves as a privacy browser and your own feedback services result in leaks of my browsing.
