Description of the issue:
Exactly what the title says.
Just for clarity, last night I ran CCleaner because I thought that my laptop could use a fix. I did two scans: one was a custom scan where which I unticked all of the boxes for Brave, and then I ticked most boxes for Google Chrome.
Then suddenly, I start seeing ads all over sites I previously didn’t see on such as TVtropes. I scoured the internet (honestly, the first page of Google if I’m to be frank) for problems and found some forums had sort of the same problem, but not a fix.

Also, just to clarify, I checked with my brother’s laptop, one that hasn’t been cleaned with CCleaner yet, and saw that his shields constantly blocked a handful of things whereas mine doesn’t.
Lastly, I’d like to point out that my adblock doesn’t seem to have the same options as his and had to resort to finding custom filters from another forum.
