Only recently did I notice that the casting function in the Brave browser is no longer operational, at least on my end. I’ve done a fair amount of testing, and I have narrowed the problem down to the brave browser.
All of my tests have been ran using YouTube to cast through my Chromecast. The issue persists on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 18.10. On both operating systems, the casting function works as expected when using Chrome, Chromium, and Firefox (as well as the mobile Youtube app on android). Brave is the only exception.
I have gone back to check and make sure that the flags (brave://flags) are set to the proper values. I’ve only noticed this issue happening in the last week, so I assume it’s the result of a recent update but I could be mistaken.
