Can't upload files - "Error opening the file. Error connecting to the panel service"

Description of the issue:

Every time I click on a field/button where I should be able to upload a file (for example, a button that says “Upload profile picture”), I get an error message saying that there has been an error uploading said file.

I would add a screenshot, but it’s in Spanish since that’s my browser’s language. The direct translation is something along the lines of: Error opening the file. Error connecting to the service in the “Open and Save” panel when opening the file.. The “Open and save” text varies depending on which website I’m at, I guess the name of the panel is different depending on the website.

This is a widespread error affecting every website with an “upload” button. Dragging and dropping the file (when possible) works fine, though.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to any website with a button that prompts an upload
  2. Click on the button
  3. The error appears

Expected result:

Just the usual click and upload function.
