Can't print to my HP printer from Brave on Ubuntu 25.04

Can’t print from Brave Browser on my Ubuntu 25.04 desktop.

Doing a Cntl-P and selecting my HP Envy printer in Brave Browser

  1. Go to a Web page in Brave browser
  2. Do a Cntl-P and select HP Envy Printer and Print

Expected result:
Pinter will start making noise us using my ink supply on a piece of paper.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.78.102 Chromium: 136.0.7103.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)

  • Release Notes v1.78.102 (May 15, 2025)

  • Ubuntu is up to date in maintenance
  • This is a reasonably new machine, just set up about 2 weeks ago.
  • I have another Windows system works and Brave was working on my older Ubuntu system before it stopped booting.
  • The printer works and is not a new printer.
  • I can print from Firefox (my backup browser) and other Apps on this system.

Do you suppose removing and reinstalling Brave Browse is a good next step?

Wish I could help.

I have the same problem and I can see it has been an unresolved issue on this forum since 2020.

Hopefully they get onto it before the decade is out
