Cannot set permissions for file://<PATH>

When going to brave://settings/content/clipboard, I cannot add e.g. file://C:/mylocalproject, so brave keeps asking for the permission. Since I use Brave for everything - including developing pages locally - I’d appreciate if I could also set permissions (for all: camera, location, etc.) on a file:// protocol basis
