1.cannot cast to LG TV
2.using cast drop down does not work (I can see my TV but cannot cast)
3.NO media router button in extensions
4. no cast symbol on youtube videos

Where are you looking when you say you see your TV?
Just to be clear, you have Media Router enabled and the cast drop down you’re talking about is the 
button on the browser and not simply the 
button that shows up in YouTube or other video players, right?
Guessing you’re in the wrong place? Or you speaking of something different than I’m thinking?
There’s brave://extensions/ which is where extensions you added will be visible. Then there’s brave://settings/extensions which is where Brave’s settings are handled, including enabling Media Router.
Found the Settings/extension and media router button is on.
I was attempting to cast a youtube video and did not see the cast icon.
I went to the drop down and selected more tools and selected cast. There I see my tv but when I hover the cursor over it, nothing is selectable.
I toggled the media router button and relaunched and all is working now.
