Hi all,
Using Brave
Version 1.65.126 Chromium: 124.0.6367.118 (Official Build) (64-bit)
I have a site that I can only access via https and when I try to access it I get this message:
I can select advanced and proceed to the site and all is good.
Next time I start up Brave I must click on Advanced again.
However with Chrome, Edge or FF I only have to select Advanced once and I’m never asked again.
Why does Brave keep asking me before I can proceed.
TIA
Expected.
Here is the same issue when logging into my router; Routers won’t have a valid SSL Cert, since its local to the network and not to the Internet.
Why is it expected as it does not happen with other browsers?
It should happen in all browsers, test in a new profile in each browser. Its not an unusual error on local IP addresses (like routers).
It does but only once, are you prompted with the Advanced Option to proceed. Other browers seem to “remember” and don’t ask the question again.
So why is Brave different?
