So we just noticed that this plugin hasn’t been updated since 2018.

I don’t even know how I got it on my sites.

But Wordfence is complaining about it.

Do I need it?

Why haven’t you updated it?

It’s simply another verification method for users wanting to verify their self-hosted wordpress. I think it’s slowly being depreciated which would explain why it’s not been updated.
