Brave Outline Colors - Some elements invisible

Description of the issue:
Bookmark-folder labels in the Bookmarks and Tabs portion of the Brave frame are not visible; however, those that appear in the pulldown menu (that is, those that cannot fit on the visible frame) appear normally. Similarly, on some web pages, the user’s selection/deselection do not appear in some checkboxes, radio buttons, and toggle buttons (that is, the user cannot tell the state of the element, whether their choice is represented or not.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Issue is present at all times in bookmark folder row.
  2. Issue appears in some cases on websites with checkboxes, radio buttons, or toggle buttons.
  3. Unknown how to reproduce. Issue seems to have appeared ~2 months ago.

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave):

  • OS: Windows 11 Home
  • Brave Version 1.78.102 Chromium: 136.0.7103.113, but has persisted through updates for at least 2 months worth of updates

Additional Information:
From user perspective, the issue seems to be a setting that turns some elements white, thereby rendering them invisible/nonexistent to the user.
In the case of Issue appears in some cases on websites with checkboxes/radio buttons/toggle buttons, tests of form submitting have shown that user’s choice did indeed register but simply were not visible.

Sometimes a javascript is blocked. Sometimes an extension may be involved. Sometimes the modes: Dark, Night, Lite/Light and or Theme used.

Creating an extra Brave Browser User Profile may help you test the issue. If you do that, close all tabs and windows of any other Profile ← for testing, use your new test Profile exclusively.
