Brave not opening on new Windows 11 computer on fresh install

I recently got a new Lenovo laptop (Lenovo Slim 7 16IAH7) and I just install brave on it, however, every time I try opening brave the window crashes before loading anything.
Tried solutions:

  • Turning off McAfee and Windows defender firewall
  • Running the .exe file with -incognito
  • Running the .exe file with --disable-gpu
  • Running the .exe file with --user-data-dir=%localappdata%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\TEMP
  • Installing beta, nightly, and older versions
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling

Ok so turns out for some reason changing the name of the brave.exe file to anything else worked.
