Description of the issue:
On Mint Linux (Ubuntu-like), with the official PPA version of Brave, does not trust CAs in the /usr/local/share/ca-certificates directory. The same chromium version does support this trust method.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Add internal CA certificate in PEM format to /usr/local/share/ca-certificates
  2. Run update-ca-certificates
  3. Start brave browser
  4. Got Settings → Security and Privacy → Security → Manage Certificates
  5. Go to Authorities tabs
  6. Certificate should be in list without manually importing it but it not.

Expected result:
Expected added CA cert to be in trusted list.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
[Version 1.36.109 Chromium: 99.0.4844.51 (Official Build) (64-bit)]

Additional Information:

The chromium of the same version does not have this issue. Chromium trusts the system CA certificates correctly. This is not a upstream issue.
