I have the same problem
I was able to verify that the problem is in chromium 123.
The problem repeats itself in the same way in Opera browser where reinstalling the version that runs based on chromium 122 works correctly
I appreciate any help or suggestion.
@elpampoi92 Lo siento, pero voy a responder a esto principalmente en inglés. Espero que no te importe utilizar un traductor, como he tenido que hacer yo para entenderte.
@JulesM I’m assuming you have Linux? But it will be helpful if you can be more specific on OS and if you are on Linux, with distro you have and all.
I see both of you mentioned Linux. What release channel did you use? For clarification, I’m asking which of the methods at https://brave.com/linux/ you used to get Brave.
I’m assuming you both have recent version of Brave, which has updated to 1.64.113 since the original post 2 weeks ago (sorry I missed your topic and only getting response now)
Thank you for your soon response and I apologize for my English
1- I’m running linux Mint 20.3. I was using Brave from the official Mint repository.
When the problem arose (again after the last update), I uninstalled Brave and reinstalled it from the Brave page with the recommended procedure for Debian using the terminal
4- At any time.I do not understand very well the question.
It happens in any video.
However, in the preview, the image is ok. You cann’t see the cursor but it is over the timeline
5- No
6- Both, standard and private.
7- The same in the new profile
I am convinced that the problem is in the chromium version 123 base. The same thing happened to me with chromium after the upgrade to 123
To test it I installed Opera, first a version based on chromium 123 and the problem repeats itself and if I install a version based on chromium 122 there is no problem.
I tried opera because I found the previous versions in .deb format, my Linux knowledge is limited
@JulesM,
Wondering if maybe this is a Hardware Acceleration issue — can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue?
You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration
