Brave news won’t load articles

Description of the issue:
Enabling brave news doesn’t load any content into the news feed. Tried adding and deleting sources but nothing loads. I deleted the app and reinstalled it as well and still seeing the same behavior.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Turn on brave news
  2. Scroll down to view articles on dashboard

Expected result:
Articles should load instead a modal displaying “no articles to show” appears.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.32.3 (21.11.17.19)

iPhone 13 Pro Max iOS 15.1.1

Dug into this some more and adding my own news sources allows the feed to be populated but it only uses the custom source(s). So the issue seems to be, at least, on my device that the default brave news sources aren’t being detected some how.
