Suddenly today I was not able to launch Brave Browser. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall but the issue persist. I have only used Brave for a few weeks and I really liked the browser so it is very unfortunate that I am not able to use it anymore… Any suggestions on how to fix so that I can do a completely clean install?
When you go to uninstall the app using the Windows uninstall function, ensure that you select the box asking whether or not you want to clear the browsing/user data as well. This will completely remove all Brave files from your machine and you should be able to do a clean install.
I was able to reinstall using Microsoft store.
Just a quick follow up. If I synchronize brave passwords etc to my mobile, will I then be able to restore from my mobile to my PC Browser if it chashes again?
That is correct yes — you’ll have to re-add the PC to the Sync chain but yes that should work.
