Brave highjacked my Thunderbird

Hi there,

How are you doing?

So I’m not thrilled that Brave took over & stopped my TB from popping up when I clicked on a mailto link.

This had been going on for a couple of weeks (never did it before) & my website coder took me to Ctrl Panel & default programs which I’ve NEVER been to before.

It’s working now, but it shouldn’t do that.

Not sure why that happened but it’s good to know that you have a fix when it does. This is exactly what I would suggest you do. You may also want to go to brave://settings/handlers and ensure that the browser isn’t given permission to open any mailto links by default.
