Brave doesn't re-open with the same sized window

When I close Brave (not minimize - close) and re-open it, the window size is substantially different. (The Brave window’s screen position is retained.)

I’d like Brave to revert to opening a window with the same size as when most recently closed.

adding: what’s above pertains to my desktop; my laptop has similar characteristics (operating system / desktop / Brave version 1.67.116). After upgrading from Brave v1.66.118, Brave now performs similarly - failing to re-open its window with the same size / screen position as when most recently closed.

Today (20 June 2024), I updated Brave from 1.67.116 to 1.67.119

Since updating to 1.67.xxx Brave has failed to re-open with the same-sized window as when most recently closed.

Searching Brave Community, I see this behavior has been reported in the past with earlier Brave versions. One thread from 2021 reported a resolution with a Brave update and attributed the problem to Chromium. The other threads remain unresolved.

Any others having this problem with Brave’s current desktop release?
