Brave does not work after installation

I am running Windows 11 Home 23H2 version on a 9 month old 64 bit computer with

AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-Core Processor 4.50 GHz; 32.0 GB
About 4 months ago Brave which had been working without any issues, suddenly stopped working. I either had a completely white screen (occasionally black) or, if the opening screen appeared, nothing on it would work when I clicked on any link.
I tried uninstaling and reinstalling a couple of times but had the same problem.
Along with this, whatever was wrong also appeared to sometimes upset ‘Task Manager’ This either froze or only one tab would work.
I have tried a few times since but while the installation process appears to go OK nothing on the opening screen works and the programme freezes.

This week, I tried again, same result, so I attempted to uninstall it with BCUninstaller, but had a message saying, ‘the programme is still running’. When I checked it was running but it was not in the list of open prgrammes in Task Manager. Again Task Manager was acting up, freezing or only one of the left hand tabs would work.

I did manage an uninstall with Revo Uninstaller, and have, I think, got rid of all traces of Brave except for two items which show up in the ‘Services’ list on ‘Task Manager’. These are, ‘Brave update service’ and ‘Bravem’ I can’t find them to uninstall them.

Brave, along with Firefox were my main browsers, and I would like to get it running again, but have run out of ideas. I hope someone can suggest a remedy.
