Brave Continues To Reset Light Mode

Whenever I open YouTube, Brave puts YouTube in Light Mode. Is there a way to fix this? (Question Updated)

Putting “the latest” or “most updated version” is not an answer. There have been way too many times people put this there but then we find out they haven’t updated in months. Please put the actual version number.

I open up YouTube (using Brave), Brave resets my YouTube from Dark Mode to Light Mode.

What settings are you using?

And are you doing anything, such as through Shields, that might be impacting it? Keep in mind things like strict fingerprint blocking is known to break things like formatting on websites. Same can be said if you’re blocking or clearing cookies, running things like Ccleaner, etc.

You realize that was from 2020, right? And of the millions of people, nobody else had been posting here with that issue. That generally suggests it’s that person’s setup. It could be they are clearing things they shouldn’t be, have extensions interfering, or whatever else.

put it in a place where any new person using Brave could easily find it without having to enter a maze and search for it.

It is. It’s in the same exact place as in 99.9% of browsers.

Awesome, thank you! It could however be placed on the bottom left as I open Brave without having to select the gear icon bottom right and either scroll down or hit the ‘about me’ section lol. But I appreciate your help. Not everyone is an internet wiz.

I apologize for the way I presented the question. It was unprofessional of me. I really do appreciate your fast and timely response(s). Again, thank you for helping me resolve this issue. I didn’t even realize Brave had community support, and I had been facing this issue since Day 1 using Brave; I allowed it to bottle up in me and, again, I apologize for me lashing out. It was not my intention to do so. Thanks!
