Brave Browser is frozen on my Mac Sonoma 14.1 Laptop

Description of Issue - every week I get updates to Brave Browser. Over the last few months, each time I update the Brave Browser seems to take longer and longer to be usable. Yesterday when I updated the Brave Browser to Version 1.61.100 Chromium: 120.0.6099.62 (official Build) (x86_64) it has been completely frozen. I have quit the Browser, shut down my computer and it continues to be frozen. Please help. I can’t get to any of my important tabs

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. I downloaded the latest update
  2. Browser is frozen

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.61.100 Chromium: 120.0.6099.62 (official Build) (x86_64)

Now after several hours it has started working. I don’t know why the delay. Could someone help me understand
