Brave browser Dark mode turns off when reopening browser

Description of the issue:

Brave browser Dark mode turns off when reopening browser.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave browser.
  2. Switch from dark mode to light mode then back to dark mode under settings>appearance
  3. Close Brave Browser.
  4. Open Brave Browser.

Expected result:

Brave Browser should stay Dark

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.52.117 Chromium: 114.0.5735.90 (Official Build) (64-bit)
